U18 Travel Winter Midgets

This registration page aims to gauge interest and determine the number of players interested in playing Winter Midgets.

This is not registering for the team; it is just registering as “I am interested.” This season would take place during the same time as the high school hockey season and would be part of the Valley League, with games starting in December.

We know that some local players may not have a high school team, have been cut from their team, have aged out of the JV League, do not plan on playing for a high school team, or want more ice time. This winter midget season would allow them to continue playing hockey.

We MUST provide the Valley Hockey League (VHL) team(s) commitment by November 30th.

We understand that November 30th might not give players and their families enough time to assess their standing with their high school team before committing. Again, registration at this time is ONLY to gauge interest and determine the number of players.

Birth years 2005 to 2008

What time of the year does this program run?

Example: Season begins with tryouts in August and runs until playoffs in February.

The season consists of 18 games, will be scheduled at various Valley League rinks, and can occur on Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays.

Each game consists of three 12-minute periods, and the season runs until playoffs in late March, aligning with the rest of the Valley League schedule.

Will be held once or twice a week at one of our three local rinks: Gardner, Cushing, or Winchendon.

$800 (skaters) and $400 (goalies)

Details to follow

Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with the first 15 skaters and two goalies being accepted onto the team.

Any registrations received after filling these spots will be placed on a waitlist. A second team may be formed if enough interest and coaches are available. An evaluation process will determine team placement in such a case.

Please extend the invite if you know other skaters looking to join this program.

Each team is expected to have a maximum of 15 skaters and two goalies.
